ABS-CBN’s “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na” campaign won gold and silver awards in the Advocacy category and Innovative and Integrated Media category of the recent UA&P (University of Asia and the Pacific) Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards 2014.
“Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na” was the collective effort of ABS-CBN Corporation in raising funds to help the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Aside from receiving hundreds of millions of cash and in-kind donations, the campaign was able to organize two sold-out solidarity concerts at the Araneta Coliseum and sold over one million Tulong shirts in a month.
To date, the “Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na” campaign has already served relief assistance to 3,636,475 individuals through ABS-CBN’s disaster emergency and rehabilitation arm Sagip Kapamilya.
Sagip Kapamilya also pledged the building of 108 classrooms in Basey, Samar and Dulag, Leyte. It also aims to deliver 4,000 boats to the fishermen of Basey and Dulag and also to nearby towns Marabut and Sta. Rita.
The UA&P Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards is a global award started in 2007 to recognize integrated marketing communications campaigns that effectively pursue and promote social good. This year, it received a total of 361 entries from Australia, Bangladesh, India, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, but only 54 campaigns were given recognitions.
