In line with the celebration of its 400th anniversary, the University of Santo Tomas held the 7th USTv Awards at the Plaza Mayor on Thursday evening, February 17, 2011, in recognition to youth-oriented television personalities, programs/shows and stations that also promote Christian values.
ABS-CBN the `Kapamilya network´ bagged the most awards this year with 15. These include the Best Actress in a Daily Soap Opera award for Angelica Panganiban who portrayed the main character in “Rubi” as well as the Best Actor in a Daily Soap Opera award for Coco Martin as the rebellious mortal enemy of the lead star, Gerald Anderson, in “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.”
